Caprese Salad

Tomatoes with mozzarella

Ingredients

  • Tomatoes – 6

  • Fresh Mozzarella -1 Pound

  • Extra virgin olive oil-¼ cup

  • Dried Oregano-1 tsp

  • Lots of Fresh Basil Leaves

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • Cut the tomatoes and mozzarella into ¼ to ½ inch slices.
  • Alternate the tomato, fresh basil and mozzarella slices, overlapping on one or two large platters. shower with salt, pepper and oregano. Drizzle with the extra virgin olive oil. Serve immediately without refrigerating with crusty bread.
